At the request of the CDVL78, Aquilae – Performance Paragliding Academy ran a weekend of tandem refresher courses for the Crécerelles and Thermique Francilien clubs, based on the “Voler mieux” model. This session was eagerly awaited in preparation for a discovery day for people with disabilities.
We’re very proud of Vincent and Rémi, our two aspiring instructors, who have just passed this year’s selection tests for entry to the DEJEPS free flight program with flying colors. The icing on the cake is that their ranking enables them to enter training at the center of their first choice.
In mid-July, from the 11th to the 17th to be exact, 5 pilots from the CNF (Collectif National Féminin de la FFVL) took part in the Belgian Paragliding Open in Ager, Spain: Sandra Antony, Anne-Laure Broise, Sarah Castellarnau, Chloé Demailly, Giulia Goeller. Up-and-coming youngster Jérémy Burnier, from the Rhône-Alpes Auvergne league team, joined the group on site. The head of the CNF had contacted Aquilae – Performance Paragliding Academy to provide coaching for the competition.
At Sébastien’s request, I coached a thermalling course at his Carpe Diem school at the end of May. Sébastien specializes in training pilots for single-surface flying. He now has 3 years’ experience of this innovative approach. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a complete discovery: the machine, the pilots, the teaching approach – only the environment remains the same.
If you’d like to become a paragliding instructor, whether you’re starting out on your professional career or making a lifestyle change, the first step is to register for the selection tests organized by ENSA for entry to the DEJEPS Vol Libre training program.
Registering for these tests is necessary, but not in itself sufficient, as they have to be passed! To put you in the best possible conditions, Aquilae – Performance Paragliding Academy is launching its support program to prepare you from the beginning of May until September 12, 2021, the start date of the selection tests.
